MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides expertise, technical knowledge, staff support, and other related resources necessary
Plans travel for assigned divisions including entering the authorization into GovTrip
Assists with completing the travel request form and compiling documentation for the file
Creates a travel folder and forwards for approval
Makes air, lodging and rental car reservations in GovTrip or contacts Omega World Travel for reservations when needed
Contacts the traveler to obtain copies of receipts and prepares the voucher when the trip has been completed
Reviews all travel authorizations and vouchers for completeness, accuracy and compliance with travel policies and procedures and working with the travel planners when corrections are needed
Follows up with divisions on late authorization and voucher submissions
Provides guidance, assistance, and cross training to travel planners when needed
Must have knowledge of Federal Travel Regulations
Must have experience using GovTrip
Must be able to independently juggle multiple activities coming from a variety of people, working with leadership to get input in prioritization but keeping everything moving forward without requiring significant direction
Must have great attention to detail and great flexibility in responding to changing priorities
Must have the highest standards of customer service and be able to maintain a professional working relationship with all members of the office
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Must have some experience using PowerPoint
Must be able to work onsite (relocation costs not provided)
US Citizenship required
Must be able to pass a background investigation (including a credit check)
