SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position reports directly to the Controller to manage the administration of benefits and human resource issues. Under the direction of the Controller, the position?s responsibilities and priorities include, but are not limited to the following:
Manage new employee onboarding process (new hire paperwork and benefit elections)
Liaison between employees and benefit providers by assisting in handling employees' benefits-related questions or taking suggestions.
Assist with annual and periodic benefits renewal and open enrollment process by providing administrative support for the distribution of materials.
Coordinate and investigate coverage/enrollment discrepancies
Manage benefit plan invoices
Coordinate L&I, Employment Security and other employment/government claims and paperwork.
Assist with Workers Compensation claims
Distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of benefits, compensation and personnel policies.
Develop methods to improve employment policies, processes, and practices, and recommend changes to management.
Advise management on such matters as equal employment opportunity, sexual harassment and discrimination.
Coordinate documentation with employee regarding unsubstantiated flex plan claims.
Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.
Gather personnel records from other departments or employees.
Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.
Answer questions regarding eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
Search employee files to obtain information for authorized persons and organizations, such as credit bureaus and finance companies.
Manage and update all employee forms as needed.
Administrate annual performance evaluations.
Coordinate pre-employment paperwork to candidate.
Maintain responsibilities consistent with established policy & procedures.
Routinely communicate and inform the Controller on relevant issues arising in the course of performing his or her responsibilities.
Performs other tasks, special projects and duties as assigned.
At least three years related experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel)
Display attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Maintain a high degree of accuracy
Strong verbal and written skills to foster a positive working environment.
Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment.
Must be able to handle confidential information.
ADP Payroll system and ADP ezLaborManager experience desired, but not required
