SecondMarket is seeking an experienced and energetic HR professional to partner with and provide support to our Technical (Engineering, BI, DB, etc.) and Product teams in the delivery of full cycle HR programs including employee relations, organizational development, succession planning and recruiting. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in, knowledge of, and experience with providing HR and Recruiting service in an online media or high-tech organization ? this is a deal breaker. Yes, we?re looking for someone with superhuman powers and a ?no job too big; no job too small? mentality. You?ve got to take talent seriously and be as gracious as you are aggressive to ensure we hire and retain the best across our organization.
What you?ll do
You will be responsible for building relationships with client groups, including: technical and product teams to implement strategies that meet the development objectives of SecondMarket
You will serve as primary contact to assist employees in resolving issues and grievances
You will deliver appropriate coaching and development feedback to managers and employees
You will provide expertise in planning and execution of employee relations efforts
You will gain a full understanding of business objectives, business challenges and corporate culture
You will partner with hiring managers to write position descriptions and set recruiting strategies (e.g., sourcing passive and diverse candidates, managing the flow of employee referrals, etc.)
You will attract, source and screen applicants using a variety of innovative techniques including social networking and direct sourcing, while staying abreast of developing market conditions and trends in the online media space
What you?ve done
You must have experience in a media or high-tech organization
You must have at least 5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner or Generalist role
You must have demonstrated project management/change management skills
You must have the ability to discuss and understand duties of a variety of technical roles with hiring managers, as well as have demonstrated experience in delivering on the full life cycle recruitment process for such roles
You must be comfortable operating in a matrix and constantly changing environment
You must have strong communication, interpersonal, relationship building, consulting, teamwork and leadership skills
You must have exceptional consulting, coaching and facilitation skills
You must have a BA/BS degree
