HR Generalist Archive Systems

We are currently looking for a HR Generalist in our Fairfield, NJ office. The position will be responsible for working in the areas of talent acquisition, benefits, HRIS, compensation, rewards & recognition, performance management, training & development, and employee relations. This position will work to develop and implement Human Resources initiatives that support the business strategy and attainment of the organizational goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage talent acquisition process including development of sourcing strategies that support the recruitment, selection, and diversity hiring activities for all positions. Work in conjunction with managers to modify and /or create job descriptions as necessary.
Maintain primary responsibility for benefits administration, enrollment, and communication to employees.
Maintain responsibility for HRIS administration, production of accurate and serve as back-up for payroll processing.
Act as point of contact for employee requests and questions.
Help drive Performance Development Review (PDR) process with employees and managers. Counsel employees and managers in areas of performance improvement and in identifying training and development opportunities.
Under general supervision, independently support client groups on all aspects of human resource matters encompassing the entire employment lifecycle.
Coach Managers to effectively manage employee performance issues.
Ability to research and benchmark salary/compensation data and guide client group management to on competitive pay practices.
Work with management to support the annual salary increase and bonus plan processes.
Work with the Director on ad-hoc Human Resources projects/initiatives in support of the company as a whole.
Assist in presenting training and development programs that support the needs of the company.
Conduct training needs assessment for employees across all levels.
Utilize HRIS system to run and analyze Human Resources data for use in daily responsibilities as well as to respond to ad hoc requests for client departments and Finance department.
Intrepret Human Resources and company policies and ensure adherence.
Assist in development of the workflow and best practices for the Human Resources department.
Educational, Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, or related field
PHR or SPHR designation preferred
5+ years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources in a mid-size company setting.
Requires demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams to produce results.
Knowledge of HR systems and software preferred.
Requires strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to develop effective internal and external working relationships.
Require strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand, evaluate and make recommendations to management regarding policies, procedures, and data.
Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting all aspects of Human Resource function including, but not limited to, payroll, ERISA, COBRA, Social Security, Department of Labor requirements, Section 125, FMLA, ADA, Health and welfare benefits and taxation.
Hands-on experience and advance knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems and Payroll (ADP preferred) including ability to create and manipulate reports across a wide range of complexity.
Able to draw from past experiences and make logical decision and/or recommendations.
Hands-on experience at the intermediate to advance level of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge and proficiency with advanced analysis functions (i.e. marcros, pivot tables, V-Look ups. etc.)
5-10% domestic travel required.
