Description
General Responsibilities:
The HR Generalist is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources at the Piqua Manufacturing facility including in-house temping, workers compensation, benefits administration, safety, employee discipline, orientation, applicant tracking, interviewing, and hiring.
Examples of Typical Activities:
Maintain employee data in the HRIS System
Develop and maintain spreadsheets for employee deductions
Partner with the Management team
Attend meetings
Support with employee meetings
Support the Safety programs
Track Census Headcount
Maintain, update and create job descriptions.
Manage the placement of employees who report to work with restrictions due to work-related injuries.
Manage, administer and communicate company benefit programs.
Manage Leaves of absence including workers compensation and FMLA.
Track Attendance
Manage the hiring process for the temporary employees.
Interviewing
Reference checking
orientation
Develop and enforce policies and procedures.
Work with Management on employee discipline issues.
Monitor the safety training of all employees.
Provide back up to payroll
Required Experience
BS Degree preferred; a minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist experience; PHR preferred
Required Technical Competencies
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point and an HRIS system.
In-depth understanding of government regulations in all areas of Human Resources.

Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
Experience with a variety of benefit programs and their administration.
Strong project management skills.
