Description
Responsible for creating, implementing and ensuring ongoing maintenance of U.S. based human resource programs, processes and systems. Assists with implementation of global HR initiatives. Key contributor to recruitment and employee relations functions.
Reports to: Sr. Director of People
Responsibilities:
Staffing
Partner with hiring managers to fill open positions. Drive hiring process from job description through opening requisition to extending offers.
Creatively source candidates for open positions and execute on recruitment process with goal of attracting and onboarding top talent.
Provide compensation analysis and recommendations; use benchmarking data to scope and level jobs and to ensure internal equity.
Create and update job descriptions with managers and ensure job classifications and ranges are aligned; maintain online library.
Manage immigration application process. Partner with immigration attorney on filing of permits and visas.
Employee Engagement & Relations
Counsel employees and supervisors regarding employee relations issues and escalate as appropriate. Provide policies and procedures guidance.
Assist in roll-out of global annual performance review process.
Facilitate smooth employee exits, conduct interviews, report any suggestions or issues, and ensure processing of related paperwork.
Assist with acquisition due diligence and integration.
Data/Reporting/Compliance
Actively serve on and lead activities of Safety Committee in partnership with Operations team.
Create management reports utilizing online data systems or Excel
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local reporting requirements, and HR related ISO certification requirements.
Partner with the EMEA People team on globally implemented processes and systems, and ensure effective and continued communications flow.
Qualifications:
Strong recruitment skills required. Must have proven track record in creative sourcing, targeted interview and selection skills, negotiating and closing offers and ability to partner positively and effectively with hiring managers.
Must be highly effective in utilizing social media for candidate sourcing and employer branding.
Experienced in proactively preventing, investigating and/or resolving employee relations issues in partnership with employees and supervisors.
Must have solid knowledge of employment laws and best practices in HR. Actively stays current on legislative updates.
Experience evangelizing HR programs and initiatives internally.
Understands employer branding and actively markets company.
Skilled in communicating confidently and positively across diverse cultures and all levels of an organization.
Works collaboratively (with a sense of fun) and thrives in a team oriented culture.
Actively seeks out knowledge and information to ensure effective problem solving and decision making. Analyzes issues and recommend solutions quickly.
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple, shifting priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Benefits administration experience desired, including 401k.
Some exposure to compensation administration needed; Stock administration a plus.
Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions desirable.
Experience working in a global organization a plus.
Experienced user of ATS?s required (ideally Taleo) and of online benefits systems such as Benetrac.
Experience in implementation of HRIS a plus.
Intermediate level in Microsoft Office particularly Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint.
Education/Experience:
B.A. or B.S. in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business or related field strongly preferred.
3 - 5 years of experience in human resources with particular focus on talent acquisition, employee engagement, and employee relations.
Experience in a start-up environment and/or medium sized businesses preferred. Background in a manufacturing environment huge plus.
PHR Certification preferred.
