--Act as point of contact for employees and management within client group on all applicable HR-related issues.
--Facilitate positive resolution to employee relation concerns.
--Ability to lead the recruitment process for open positions within the company, including conducting and scheduling interviews, performing reference checks and scheduling background/drug screens
--Work with VP of Legal & HR in planning organizational change within the company to include the preparing and updating of organizational policies/initiatives, headcount plans and job description profiles.
--Administer and interpret HR policies & procedures, legal compliance and ensures clear communication and equitable application of policies.
--Coordinate with Outside Labor Counsel on sensitive, confidential employment matters
--Responsible for tracking and maintenance of HR monthly reports
--Assist in the investigations related to EEOC, discrimination, harassment, etc.; conduct exit interviews, and identifies areas of risk and provides recommendations to minimize company exposure.
--Assist in the development and ongoing coordination of the Performance Management process, including gathering and verifying goal achievement and other performance appraisal information.
--Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent experience
--Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred but not required
Experience (Job and Industry):
--3 to 5 years of practical HR experience in a "generalist" capacity is required
--2+ years experience in recruiting/compensation/benefits capacity is preferred
--General working knowledge of employee development and performance management programs is preferred
--Exposure to applicable state and federal employment/labor law is required
--Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
--Experience with CRM systems (Sugar, SalesForce, etc) helpful
--Experience working with ADP (HRB) a strong positive
--Ability to build trust with employees and maintain confidentiality with sensitive data
--Comfortable with change and a fast-paced, high accountability environment
--Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally (especially for presentations)
--Self-directed, requiring very limited direct supervision
--Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
