Precyse is a leading, national provider of Health Information Management services and technologies. Health networks, hospitals and physician groups utilize our services to solve a wide range of HIM issues related to physician satisfaction, quality of care, revenue cycle management, and compliance and EHR enablement.
Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing the Company?s benefit and compensation plans. Responsible for administration of employee benefits in all company operations. As needed, provides special guidance and assistance to all locations on various employee benefit plans. Plans, develops and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies, procedures, in order to be responsive to the company's goals and competitive practices.
Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration
Directs the administration of all Health and Welfare, Legal and Retirement insurance plans. Ensures timely processing of participant eligibility and information changes. Oversees the reconciliation and payment of plan invoices in a timely manner.
Surveys industry and/or community to determine company's competitive position in employee benefits.
Develops, recommends, and installs approved, new, or modified plans and employee benefit policies, and supervises administration of existing plans.
Develops cost control procedures to assure maximum coverage at the least possible cost to company and colleague.
Provides census data and solicits insurance companies for quotes. Evaluates quotes and makes recommendations to management.
Develops company cost information for new plans and makes recommendations to management concerning sharing of cost between employer and colleague.
Prepares or facilitates preparation of announcement material, booklets, and other media for communicating new and existing plans to colleagues.
Responsible for all aspects of Open Enrollment process and meetings
Advises and counsels management and colleagues on existing benefits.
Prepares and executes, in consultation with Benefits Consulting firm, benefit documentation such as original and amended plan texts, benefit agreements and insurance policies. Instructs insurance carriers, trustees, and other administrative agencies outside the company to effect changes in benefit program. Ensures prompt and accurate compliance.
Ensures compliance with all relevant government regulations, including ERISA reporting and disclosure requirements, HIPAA and FMLA. File all appropriate benefit plan and federal reports such as EEO-1 Report, 5500 Reports discrimination and Workers Compensation reporting.
Assures that new and existing benefit programs continue to be adaptable to the ADP standardized computer and reporting systems.
Responds to all benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution. Maintains contact in person, phone, e- mail or mail, with hospitals, physicians, insurance companies, colleagues, and beneficiaries to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all colleagues.
Investigate workers compensation incidents and prepares reports for insurance carriers.
Compensation Administration
Proactively monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans which are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and company business objectives and total rewards strategy.
Assures through audits, reports and personal contact that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Provides advice on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation and job evaluation including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs.
Manages the administration of direct compensation (executive, exempt and non-exempt cash compensation programs) including the processing, recording and reporting of compensation-related actions taken on colleagues.
Participates in both exempt and non-exempt salary surveys to determine competitive wage rates and to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
Develop and implement the incentive programs and merit-rating programs.
Requirements
College Degree with focus in Human Resources or a related field.
5+ years of benefits and compensation experience including at least two years managing the benefits and compensation function in a mid size organization (500+ colleagues).
Demonstrate strong knowledge of Human Resources subject matter, including but not limited to federal and state regulatory information, FMLA, OSHA, Workers Compensation, FLSA, etc.
A working knowledge of the ADP HRIS software application/product.
PHR, SPHR, CEBS, and /or CCP or CBS certification(s) preferred.
