MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews, purges and assesses the accuracy and completeness of the contents of documents contained in Federal employees' Official Personnel Folders (OPFs), whether in hard copy format or electronic format
Uses the OPM's Operating Manual, The Guide to Personnel Recordkeeping, and The Guide to Processing Personnel Actions, and all other applicable OPM regulations, policies and guidelines to update OPF/eOPF files
Ensures OPF's is in proper condition to be converted to eOPF, and/or transfer to other Federal Agencies or the OPM National Personnel Records Center
Audits the accuracy of all information on the SF-50s, Notifications of Personnel Action, determining and calculating Service Computation Dates (SCDs) in accordance with OPM regulations, policies and guidelines
Verifies the accuracy of the data/information, as well as data validation, on the SF-50s, Notifications of Personnel Action and other Federal personnel documents filed in the OPF/eOPF for all NHQ employees
Verifies that all Verification that all clients' employees have an appropriate background investigation completed and the Certificates of Investigation (COI) notices have been filed in the respective employee's OPF/eOPF
Completes Excel spreadsheet identifying findings, NRCS deficiencies, actions taken by and final determinations for each OPF/eOPF reviews and verifications
Ensures employment, appointing authorities and pay setting for the General Schedule, are within the competitive and excepted service
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Bachelors Degree+3 years experience, or 6 years experience without bachelors.
Familiar with Federal benefits and entitlements
