Description:Passport Health Communications, Inc., a nationally recognized pioneer developing innovative solutions for the healthcare industry and one of Healthcare Informatics Top 100 Healthcare Companies, is seeking a HR Specialist to join the corporate Franklin, TN location.
The HR Specialist is a junior human resource professional responsible for providing support to Passport?s HR Business Partners to enhance the delivery of human resource services and people programs through all functional areas of the HR department. The HRS will interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Duties:Compliance/Employee Relations
?Responsible for performing pre-employment compliance screenings (reference & background checks).
?Respond to verifications of employment and unemployment documentation requests.
?Compiles HR reports (turnover, organizational charts, etc.) and maintain personnel files and records.
?Assist with acquisition integration (data, policy, employee, compliance analysis).
Benefits
?Responsible for managing tuition reimbursement and charitable matching program in addition to compiling and publishing employee newsletter in conjunction with Marketing.
?Distributes information and explains benefit programs such as retirement, health, dental, vision, life, disability, etc. to employees and dependents.
?Assists employees with completing on-line benefits enrollments/changes. Verifies and completes benefit enrollment forms.
Payroll
?Serve as payroll processing backup and support Financial Administration Manager with various payroll duties.
?Review benefit invoices from plan providers to verify deduction accuracy and resolve differences.
On-boarding
?Coordinates New Hire Orientation training schedules, gathers new hire documents and submits to payroll for processing. Also acquires new hire photos for company intranet.
Other
?Coordinates meeting scheduling/logistics (organizing/printing/creating/collecting materials) for job fairs, training, employee/town hall meetings, open enrollment, performance management, etc.
?Order and maintain employee service/recognition awards.
?Maintain HR documents on company intranet and confidential HR drive.
?Assist with special projects, reports and general office duties, etc.
Other Duties as Required.
Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in related area of study and 1 to 2 years of HR support or HR Generalist experience (all HR functional areas) a must.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
?Must have working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the Human Resources function including, but not limited to: FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, and more.
?Experience processing payroll.
?Ability to prioritize work, excellent organizational skills and initiative a must.
?Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and use new computer applications.
?Proficiency using Microsoft Office Products (specifically Excel)
? Versed experience using Excel - pivot tables, vlookups, etc
?Experience with Visio a plus.
?Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written) required.
?Ability to maintain a positive demeanor while multitasking under pressure.
?Must be able to deal with ambiguity and cope with change.
