What you?ll do: We're looking for one heck of an HTML developer who can fuel our ever-accelerating email engine. Someone who can create emails that work on Outlook 2007 and the iPhone 5 (and everything in-between). You?re a person who scoffs at the idea of ?too tight? of a deadline ? executing it on time and while rendering perfectly across all email clients and browsers. A person who has the coding chops, but also an eye for email design and best practices. You?ll work with a dynamic focused team of designers, developers and copywriters in a high-energy environment who will let you focus on doing what you do best: coding emails.
Responsibilities: What will I do? (?a better question is ?what will I not do??)
Create mobile-friendly HTML email templates
Author table-based
Code HTML for desktop clients
Author CSS for mobile clients (in the same emails!)
Build an asset library of code snippets
Establish best practices for coding emails
Coordinate with internal clients
Manage multiple projects simultaneously (amid break-neck speeds!)
Qualifications: What does it take to do this job?
Ability to hand-code old-school HTML markup
Ability to also author modern HTML/CSS markup
Experience coding emails for mobile
Web or graphic design experience (for graphic and template design) is a plus
Back-end developer skills (for integrations) are also a plus
1-2 years related experience in a dynamic, fast-paced, demanding professional environment (clock-in, clock-out sounds boring to you!)
Highly ? highly - motivated, self-starting nature; responds positively to moderate guidance yet is capable of and comfortable with independent critical thinking & problem solving (a micro-manager is your worst nightmare!)
Out-of-this-world project management skills with the ability to multi-task & complete projects flawlessly under tight project deadlines (doing one thing at a time makes you yawn)
Avid learner who prefers to formulate a hypothesis before asking someone else for the answer
Agility is key ? you can think on your feet and adapt well to a quickly changing environment
Stellar interpersonal skills; ability to work and communicate with a wide array of people
Experience with e-Dialog or other top tiered email service provider a major plus
