Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Specialist Innotas
Job Description:
Innotas, a leading provider of cloud-based IT Management solutions, is on a mission to improve product usability by leveraging user centric design. To help us fulfill our vision of ultimate ease of use, we are looking for a full time Human-Computer Interaction Specialist in our San Francisco office. Although we would like to believe that San Francisco is the center of the world, we would consider exceptional remote candidates.
HCI specialist will work collaboratively with developers, product managers and customers to refine product requirements and evaluate graphical user interface alternatives in end-user setting.
You would be in unique position to influence product direction, improve ease of use and customer satisfaction. No pressure.

Required Skills and Experience:
BA, MA, or PhD in cognitive psychology, human factors, or related field, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in graphical user interface design, specifically in creating wireframes and iterating through designs
Experience in usability evaluation and testing
Familiarity with common UI standards and guidelines for browser based products
Strong end-user advocate and focus on User-Centered Design principles
Excellent customer and end-user interaction skills, including interviewing and observation
Good verbal and written communication skills
Work well in a team environment
Fast learner, able to quickly ramp up on new technology and product space
Preferred Skills and Experience:
5+ years in user experience design teams building browser based products
Deep understanding of how mobile applications and social networking have changed enterprise applications
Experience in requirements management and use case creation
Experience in UI guidelines and style guides creation
Familiarity with user profiles, task analysis, survey design, and other HCI techniques
Understanding of Ajax, HTML5, Windows, and other technologies and platforms
Knowledge of visual design principles and information architecture
Experience working in development teams using agile methodologies is a plus
