Athletes? Performance currently has an opening for a Human Resources Generalist. Our ideal candidate is someone who prefers to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This position reports to the Human Resources Director.
Primary Duties of the Human Resources Generalist Include:
Provide day-to-day Human Resources support and partnering to all managers
Proactively work with managers to reduce employee relations issues and create positive solutions
Administer HR programs, policies, practices and processes
Manage benefits and payroll administration, trouble-shoot problems when they arise
Assist with new team member on-boarding and training
Ensure compliance with State and Federal reporting (EEO-1, OSHA 300 log, AAP, OFCCP)
Interpret and counsel managers on HR policies when needed
Assist with reporting and management of online tools such as Time & Attendance and Benetrac
Manage worker?s compensation claims process and reporting
Facilitate and track required training programs
Assist in the facilitation of the performance management/performance appraisal process
Provide support and guidance to managers in support of team member career development & planning
Work closely with our staffing team to streamline the staffing process by helping to draft job descriptions and by participating in the team member selection process when required
Maintain HR data in HRIS system
Keep up-to-date on changing labor laws and legislation as they pertain to HR policies and practices
Assist with international payroll set-up and processing
Assist the HR Director with special projects and other duties as needed
Bachelor?s degree in Human Resource management, business administration or related field
Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a Human Resource position
Minimum of one (1) year in a Human Resource role supporting a business with multiple locations in many different states in the USA
Strong understanding and working knowledge of Human Resource administrative policies, procedures, regulations and State/Federal legislation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
Demonstrated ability to work professionally and discreetly with extremely confidential information
Minimum of one (1) year of Human Resource experience supporting employees in the state of California
Knowledge of HRIS or HCM systems (Ultipro system a plus)
Familiar with navigating and researching using the Internet and social media platforms as well as email and intranet applications
Human resource experience in a global or international company
Strong communication skills; ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Strong project management skills; the ability to organize, set and manage priorities and meet competing deadlines
Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong follow-through skills and ability to be the driving force behind the completion of multiple projects
Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues
Strong analytical skills and must be attentive to detail
