The main responsibility of this position is processing weekly payroll and handling all related reports. In addition, backing up and assisting in all areas of Human Resources to include benefits and recruitment functions.Payroll responsibilities include:
Processing weekly payroll, reviewing paychecks, generating reports verifying accuracy of payroll entry, and organizing the distribution of weekly payroll checks
Auditing time and attendance in the time clock system
Ensuring vacation, sick/personal, overtime, and regular work hours have been entered
Maintaining and updating all vacation, sick/personal, and overtime reports
Setting up new hires and terminating associates in payroll system
Maintaining, administering, and tracking all payroll garnishments
Completing disability, worker?s compensation and verification of employment forms
Other HR responsibilities include:
Backing up all recruitment processes when needed, by interviewing, maintaining recruitment spreadsheets, scoring pre-assessments, conducting background and reference checks, and maintaining referral programs
Reconciling benefit bills, assisting with benefit enrollments and administration, coordinating and conducting new hire and benefit orientations, vendor meetings, projects, etc.
The chosen candidate will have at least an Associate?s Degree in Human Resources; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer based payroll experience is required with ADP Payroll experience as a plus. This position requires extensive creation and usage of spreadsheets; therefore, exceptional Excel knowledge is a necessity. Applicants will have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Payroll and Human Resource fields. It is required to occasionally travel to our company locations located in various parts of the United States to administer a variety of HR functions.
