MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives telephone calls and visitors
Sorts and distributes incoming mail to staff members
Maintains time and attendance records via the National Finance Center's STARWeb
Facilitates the production of the length of service certificates, including obtaining the Chairman's signature
Orders supplies
Maintains and establishes OPFs including reviewing incoming documents to determine if appropriate for filing in the OPF
Screens inactive OPFs,prepares them for shipment, and forwards them to the National Personnel Records Center
Logs applications into the recruitment database
Prepares offer of employment letters and notifies non-selected applicants
Assists in the closeout of merit promotion cases
Maintains office reference materials (i.e. Delegated Examining Manual, Position Description Booklets, Classification Standards)
Maintains various human resource system logs and accountability records
Maintains human resources file systems applying established file methods, to include the filing, storage and retrieval of records
Types a variety of materials including vacancy announcements, memoranda's and reports
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of federal government human resources
PREFERABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience recruiting SES positions
Practical experience using CHRIS to run SINQ reports and processing of HCCUP packages
