THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Outbrain is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner for our New York location. We hire pretty amazing people (125 of them spread over 5 continents last year alone!) and want to support them as they push themselves to the next level.
The ideal candidate is a proven HR business partner who can translate business and organizational objectives and goals into an effective HR agenda that aligns with our company goal of delighting our users. In particular, we are looking for someone with substantial experience in both employee relations and recruiting.

Provide HR partnership and consulting to line management, especially the Sales and Business Development groups; offer guidance when appropriate
Recruit for a range of Outbrain roles, including business and technology, paying particular attention to issues of company culture
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance; partner with legal department as needed/required
Take direction from the Director of Organizational Development to identify training and other organizational development needs for business units and individuals
In partnership with the HR group, provide day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, strengthen the global communications architecture, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation
Provide input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
BS in Human Relations or related field; although a refugee from a Product group who has always wanted to have a hand in growing and developing teams around a product is especially desirable
Minimum of 5 years HR generalist experience
Minimum of 2 years in recruiting
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws
Relevant industry experience a plus
