Mindspark offers a world-class work environment with offices in both White Plains and NYC. This position is based at the Mindspark headquarters in White Plains, NY - a 5-minute walk from the Metro North White Plains station. Within the next few months, the office will be moving to Yonkers, NY ? a 5-minute walk from the Metro North Yonkers station.
Mindspark is looking for a passionate Human Resources Coordinator to provide daily consultative support on all aspects of Human Resources, with a primary focus on Payroll, Orientation, and Benefits Administration. The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for interfacing with the business, answering questions and will possess strong customer service skills.
Responsible for employee processes: new hires, terminations, rate changes, adjustments, transfers and benefit changes in ADP, etc. Responsible for accurate maintenance of employment data within ADP and tracking changes on a monthly basis.
Processes payroll in accordance with payroll calendar.
Conducts new hire orientation; performs background checks, responds to employment verifications and verifies employment eligibility for using the E-Verify system when applicable.
First point of contact for benefit related questions. Responsible for communicating benefit related information to employees. Coordinates with IAC and assists with annual open enrollment and health fair, etc.
Responsible for managing all Leave of Absences; provide policy and process information to employees, coordinate with payroll and benefit contacts at IAC. Appropriately maintain LOA paperwork.
Maintains employee personnel files in compliance with applicable requirements. Files employee documents in appropriate file and in a timely fashion.
Assists with month-end data reporting processes; responsible for running reports from ADP.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
Assist with employee engagement and recognition activities.
Willingly completes other ad hoc assignments as assigned
Education and Skills:
Two (2) to three (3) years of Human Resources experience
4-year Degree in Human Resources or related major
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) ; High Level of proficiency in HRIS data entry, ADP preferred
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
Extremely detail oriented, can manage multiple tasks seamlessly, proven ability to meet deadlines; ability to prioritize tasks
Strong sense of urgency, initiative, and drive; works well under pressure and strives within a fast paced environment
Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information
