THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Human Resources Director (HRD), reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, is a key HR leadership role in this rapidly growing drug development company. The HR Director will partner with company leaders to help build the organization, the culture and the operating effectiveness that will drive our business to success. The HRD will have a combination of business partner responsibilities within assigned functions (initially Research and Development groups) and HR strategy and program development for the company.
The HRD will be a business partner to senior management and other leaders by providing consultative advice and guidance on a wide range of HR issues. He/she will assess needs and deliver solutions in the areas of organization design, change management, performance management, employee and leadership development, reward/recognition programs, talent acquisition and employee engagement.
The HR Director will also contribute significantly to the design and implementation of HR strategy, programs, policy and infrastructure to ensure high quality delivery of HR solutions to this high growth company.
Primary Position Responsibilities/Tasks:
Work with management teams to understand business strategies, diagnose current organization performance, and develop/implement plans to build needed organization capabilities and support continued business growth.
Maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business unit?s financial position, its mid-range plans, its culture and its competition.
Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Answer day to day questions and inquiries on compensation and benefits.
Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
Assist in talent planning processes.
In partnership with recruiting organization, ensure effective search and selection strategy & processes within client organizations.
Partner with the head of compensation & HR systems to ensure compensation strategies that support the ability to attract, reward and retain qualified employees.
Maintain a current knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Participate in the continual improvement of HR policies, procedures and customer service satisfaction level.
Support global Human Resources efforts.
BS degree, Master is highly desirable. PHR or SPHR is a plus.
8+ years progressive HR generalist experience including support within biotech/pharma company.
Working generalist knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including talent acquisition, compensation practices, organizational development, change management, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state employment laws.
