The Job:
AvePoint is looking for an experienced generalist to become a part of our Human Resources team. The Human Resources Generalist will play an integral role within all Human Resources aspects; Employee Relations, Recruitment, Performance Management, Benefits, Organizational Development, Training and Development and Corporate Initiatives. This person will be expected to be an expert on HR law and internal policies in order to carry out our processes in an constructive manner. This individual should be able to model the highest level of integrity while working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in driving and initiating various HR programs/initiatives throughout the organization
- Develop and use workforce analytics and business metrics to track the success of HR initiatives
- Handle complex employee relations issues from inception through resolution
- Provide coaching and solution-oriented advice that maximizes performance and mutual win-win understandings
- Lead the continued development of our HRIS system
- Ensure proper on-boarding process for new hires, and other payroll and benefits related paperwork
- Administer employee separation process and documentation; conduct exit interviews
- Respond to unemployment claims, reference checks, employment verifications and other inquiries
- Manage leaves in accordance with all current applicable state and federal laws, and company disability plans
- Review and assess the internal and external environment to improve HR best practice policies and initiatives
- Provide exceptional customer service with regard to day-to-day HR issues and inquiries
- Assist with various special ad hoc projects
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree required
- 2 â€" 4 years progressive Human Resources Generalist experience
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight timelines, and multiple priorities, in a fast-moving, constantly changing environment
- Strong interpersonal communication, listening skills, critical writing and thinking skills
- Exercise good judgment and demonstrate a diplomatic and open minded approach
- High degree of professionalism, maturity and confidentiality
- Strong technical skills, including significant experience using Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Proven application experience of HR information systems
