Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources the Human Resources Generalist and Recruiter (HRGR) will be a key role in the department. The incumbent will be responsible for administering the complete recruiting cycle. The HRGR leads and secures all recruitment and on boarding efforts. A successful incumbent is typically the first point of contact with all hiring managers and must demonstrate excellent follow-up and organizational skills at all times. This role may also include international human resource responsibilities. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for other HR Generalist duties as assigned.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leads in the hiring process by coordinating job postings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, performing telephone or in-person interviews.
Conducts recruitment and on-boarding effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees.
Handles outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
Conducts new employee orientations and enrollments, including managing employee changes in the HRIS system and assists with payroll administration as needed.
Manages month-end new employee and payroll change data, develops reports to meet management requests and needs for human resources reporting at various levels.
Processes personnel action forms and assures proper approvals.
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.
Provide guidance and input on department/division restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
Identify training needs for departments/division and individual manager coaching needs.
Maintains compliance with federal, state and international regulations concerning employment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience & Skills Required
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Business or Human Resources or equivalent degree.
Three to five years of experience in a recruitment or generalist role in a fast paced environment.
Proficient in ADP?s HRB system, knowledge of other HRIS desirable.
Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint software skills.
Quick learner and excellent communication and customer service skills.
Extremely well organized and able to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
Be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels regardless of geographic location.
Be self directed and motivated.
Take initiative to identify and anticipate business needs and make recommendations for implementation.
