Job Purpose:
This Position is responsible for planning and carrying out policies and processes related to all phases of the Human Resources function.
Responsibilities:
Answers routine personnel inquiries as well as basic policy and procedure questions.
Performs new hire orientations.
Maintains and/or creates records and documents for personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
Maintains personnel and other HR files ensuring compliance with regulation and Company policy.
Performs system maintenance for HRIS. Ensures data integrity. Maintains proper documentation for all input.
Works with managers to address issues related to employee performance, conduct and workplace issues.
Performs routine investigations. Facilitates resolutions.
Assists employees, through direct and indirect communication, in understanding company?s HR policies and procedures. Acts as facilitator of communication between managers and their subordinates, as needed.
Recruits, interviews, and makes selection recommendations for potential employees. Assists and trains managers and supervisors in the recruitment process ensuring the Company?s Recruitment Guidelines are understood and followed.
Executes recruiting plans for open positions in an effort to recruit and retain qualified candidates and meet operational needs.
Works with managers and supervisors through the termination process.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires up to 2 years related experience.
Basic knowledge of Human Resources management theory and practice.
Certification preferred.
Excellent communication skills required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Union experience preferred.
