Position Description
This position is responsible for Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, labor relations, compliance, affirmative action, administration, and compensation.
Responsibilities:
Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations
Analyzes data and works with management to recommend objective business decisions
Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints
Collaborates with business partners to solve problems and resolve conflicts in a creative, responsive and pro-active manner.
Evaluates location from a human resources perspective; partner with the appropriate resources to implement a pro-active, employee focused plan with an end result of meeting the location?s employee, operational and financial goals.
Manages corrective actions, terminations, and exit interviews
Trains and supports managers and supervisors to ensure company goals for employee development and customer service are attained through consistent execution of human resources, training and operational plans
Maintains open communication of issues, initiatives and operating plans and responsibilities among location personnel, management, regional and corporate office to facilitate efficient and effective execution of training plans and HR programs.
Represents the company for any unemployment claims
Facilitates and provides training to the workforce
Interviews, screens, and recruits job applicants to fill entry level, professional, and technical job openings
Represents management in investigating, answering, and settling grievances, by arranging and scheduling meetings between supervisor and the employee
Conducts new hire orientation and completes new hire paperwork for processing
Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum two years experience as a Human Resources Generalist
Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations is preferred.
Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
The ability to research and analyze various different type of data information.
Must have the ability to make recommendation to effective resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
