Aurora Flight Sciences is seeking a Human Resources Manager, for our Columbus, MS Facility. This position administers human resources policies in a manufacturing environment. We are seeking an incumbent who has demonstrated the ability to achieve results in several key HR functions and have a passion to put that experience to work. We will look to you to partner with the HR Management and leadership team in translating business strategy into action that drives business results. Your responsibilities will require you to apply your ability to work in a dynamic environment and broad knowledge of HR and hands-on expertise, with demonstrated results in several of the following functions/HR processes: including recruitment, compensation, training, and policy interpretation, compliance issues such as EEO/AAP, FLSA and FMLA and employee relations consultation. The position reports to Corporate Human Resources and directly supports the site General Manager
Perform all responsibilities associated with functional areas that include: employee relations, employee orientation, training, staff/organizational development and performance appraisals, compensation and benefits administration, and hiring/termination.
Expected to foster a team-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, cooperation, accountability and customer service.
Ensure fair and consistent administration of policies to ensure a proactive approach with regard to employee relations.
Recommend modifications to existing policies/procedures to promote workforce efficiency or develop new HR programs and/or initiatives
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity and process confidential employee records and files.
Supports Operations Program Reviews and requests for HR related data other managers and departments request.
Development and Administration of Affirmative Action Plan
Compensation analysis and provide salary recommendation to departmental managers
Responsible for directing day-to-day activities of HR assistant(s)
Minimum Requirements (education and experience):
Ideal candidate must have Bachelor?s degree in related field with minimum 7 to 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, managing HR professionals for at least 4 years.
Must have broad base knowledge of theories, principles and practices of Human Resources Management and, hands-on, Human Resources experience
Computer skills in HRIS and MS Software (Word, Excel, MS Project and Power Point)
Results driven and accountable for actions

Work independently, yet sees others as partners and essential team members
Excellent skills in communication (oral and written), including presentation , influencing and negotiating skills
Able to forge strong, trusting collaborative relationships, sound leadership coaching skills; investigation skills

Demonstrates leadership potential and strong organizational skills
Experience and demonstrated skills in creating a diverse workforce and inclusive culture preferred
Proven success in Human Resources role within manufacturing environment preferred
Previous experience in labor relations preferred
