Summary:
The Human Resources Manager has responsibility for all the functions that deal with the needs and activities of the Company?s associates, managing the provision of human resources services, corporate policies and various programs. This position originates and leads human resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. Other responsibilities include annual planning, project initiatives, management of employee relations, compliance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, administer, monitor and enforce policies and procedures
Develop and administer competitive compensation, benefits and open enrollment and performance management systems and programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Contract and negotiate with vendors as needed
Participate in staffing of organizational units, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, on-boarding of new associates and promotion of associates within the organization
Prepare internal employee communications, both verbal and written, to include remotely located associates and actively participate in quarterly, internal all-hands communications meetings
Manage for associate retention, conduct annual associate survey with recommendations on results to management and hold exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination
Identify the development needs of others and perform coaching, mentoring or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge and skills
Perform difficult staffing duties, including handling complaints, settling disputes, resolving grievances and conflicts, terminating employees, and administering disciplinary procedures
Advise management on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, recommend changes as needed
Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals and absenteeism rates
Lead the Company Focus and Fun Team (includes Company-wide activities, building our culture, etc.)
Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time
Collect and analyze HR data to provide guidance and recommendation to management
Stay informed of developments in the human resources field, understanding the impact to the company and recommending change as appropriate
Qualifications and Requirements:
This is a highly responsible and visible position within our organization. It requires a combination of:
Critical Skills: Verbal and written communications, Analyzing Information and Decision Making, Performance Management, Negotiating Skills, Strategic Planning, Knowledge of Human Behavior and Performance
Four ? eight years of experience in a human resources management position working in a hands-on role covering compensation administration, benefit plan management and resource management
Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, government regulations and precedents.
Proven management experience and leadership abilities. Ability to motivate, develop and coach associates
Strong problem solving and creative skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
Desire and experience in a multi-location environment, including international operations, is helpful
Bachelor?s Degree in related field
Critical Success Factors:
Managed benefits administration including open enrollment process
Ability to manage difficult situations and coach others
Hands on working HR experience and enjoy it
Experience running verbal and written internal communication programs, including remote workforce
Up to date on employment law and compliance reporting and proven track record of managing legal issues
SHRM certified
Experience in writing and updating HR policies and procedures
Savvy with social hiring tools, including Linked In, ect.SHRM certified
