Provides overall Human Resource support including employee relations and compliance with company policies, procedures and programs.
Responsible for the implementation of company policies, procedures and performance management program; may assist in the design of policies, procedures and performance management program. Ensures department compliance with all applicable employment law regulations.
Handles employee relations matters and investigations, advising management of disciplinary action with direction from the Director of HR
May be responsible for completing new hire procedures, including but not limited to: executing all required new hire paperwork, ensuring all new employees receive a Policy & Compliance Handbook, obtaining proper identification from new employees, etc. and with new employee orientation
Responsible for administering FMLA, W/C, Unemployment Claim issues, etc.
Implements new and existing company policies and procedures
Assists with the performance management process by reviewing performance evaluations and educating managers on the process
Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is a high priority in the workplace; assists the Project Manager in creating and implementing the company Safety Program
Conducts exit interviews to identify reasons for employment terminations
Builds and maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers
Must maintain a high degree of company and employee confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
Maintains regular and consistent attendance
Bachelor?s Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university in related field and 4+ years of general Human Resources experience
Prefer at least 2 years experience managing the HR function and SPHR/PHR certification
Working knowledge of employment-related laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines
Public speaking, written communication, ability to discreetly handle confidential information, and strong organizational and time management skills are essential
Proficiency with MS Office software programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to effectively utilize an HRIS system
