ShapeUp is looking for an experienced human resources professional to foster its continued growth. This is an exciting opportunity to develop, improve and support comprehensive human resource policies, programs and practices. This is a dynamic role in a rapidly growing company, with a great culture and smart dedicated people. The HR Manager position is a full-time position with management responsibilities, reporting to the COO. The HR Manager will also work closely and partner with Finance to ensure effective coordination and precise ongoing communications.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Planning
Develop and implement plans and metrics to support the achievement of the ShapeUp?s business goals
Identify areas for improvement to scale the company
Take responsibility for implementation and maintenance of new initiatives
Recruiting and staffing
Drive recruiting and staffing leveraging employee networks and social media to source exceptional candidates with maximum cost effectiveness
Leverage consistent and appropriate evaluation tools to augment the hiring process
Work with Managers to update or create job descriptions for all positions
Performance Management
Ensure consistent performance tools are in place and followed
Help develop strong managers and ensure employees receive fair and consistent feedback
Support and improve ongoing performance management processes
Compensation and benefits administration
Manage and complete processes associated with health care benefit plan administration
Oversee company bonus and incentive compensation programs
Manage and complete processes which ensure compliance and delivery of company 401K and other benefits as appropriate
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding benefit plan design
Negotiate with vendors associated with benefit administration
Employment and regulatory compliance
Ensure all relevant employment and regulatory policies are identified and adhered to
Employee onboarding, development, needs assessment, and training
Oversee and directly participate in the new hire process
Identify, prepare and deliver employee training where appropriate
Identify and support employee development needs
Employee relations
Organize and promote our internal employee wellness efforts
Assist with company event management
Deliver communications as needed that are clear and consistent
Ensure employee safety, welfare, wellness and health
Hear and resolve employee complaints and concerns, and work with employees and supervisors to resolve issues as appropriate
Foster a healthy, positive, and fun company culture
To Be Successful, You Will Need:
Eight or more years of experience in human resources
Working knowledge of all areas within human resources
Ability to provide both strategic guidance and hands-on support
MBA preferred but not required
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Team player willing to work in an open dynamic culture
Ability to summarize important points quickly and effectively
Ability to bring a sense of humor and adventure to the workplace
