THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Merrimack is a biopharmaceutical company discovering, developing and preparing to commercialize innovative medicines paired with companion diagnostics for the treatment of cancer. Merrimack applies its systems biology-based approach to biomedical research throughout the research and development process. Merrimack currently has six oncology therapeutics in clinical development.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to start a career in human resources / organizational development. While the primary focus of the role initially will be administrative in nature, the right person will have tremendous opportunity for growth and to take on new responsibilities, into the realms of training & development, employee engagement, incentive planning, culture building, and strategic workforce planning. Initially, the role will focus on the following:
Recruitment and On-Boarding
Administrative support for recruiting activities (e.g., answering logistical questions from candidates, scheduling interviews, organizing travel arrangements for candidates, reserving conference rooms, and preparing offer letters.)
Coordinate the post-interview debrief meetings and providing debrief material.
Identify opportunities for improving candidate experience and scheduling efficiency.
Coordinate new hire on-boarding program, including scheduling of events, preparation of materials and new hire support.?
Day-to-day management and compliance of the company?s health & welfare benefit plans, including medical, dental, life & AD&D insurance, disability, flexible spending accounts and other ancillary health & welfare programs as well as the company?s 401(k) Plan.
Develop statistics and information on health trends of our employee population that will drive the design and implementation of a company-wide wellness program strategy that creates a culture of health.
Design a Benefit Program Communication strategy aimed at educating and engaging employees and their families in healthy behaviors and decision-making to optimize their health and wellness.
Serve as a subject matter expert in all aspects of wellness including communications and leading edge behavioral change strategies.
Serve as a core member of a small HR / Organizational Development team engaged in all aspects of recruiting, integrating, developing, evaluating, and rewarding our people. This person will be an important member of the small team dedicated to shaping the employee value proposition for our people, and enabling them to be at their best.
