Description
REGEN Energy, a leading provider of energy efficiency and demand response solutions, has an immediate need for a HVAC Technician to support our operations in California. The successful candidate will be comfortable with adjusting repairs, troubleshooting and maintaining Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning systems. High school diploma or technical certificate as well as a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience with commercial/industrial equipment are required. Must possess a basic mechanical aptitude and have some experience in networking for connectivity. Must be able to read, understand and interpret schematics, plans, diagrams and drawings. This job may involve prolonged periods of walking, reaching, climbing and moving/carrying weight of up to 100 lbs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct walk-through inspections of rooftop HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and gather data relevant to installation of energy management systems
Utilize equipment lists and data gathered during walk-through inspections to assist Operations team during energy management system installation prep
Installation of REGEN?s energy management systems at customer sites
Maintain technical logs and record all relevant data as appropriate
Knowledge of REGEN?s policies, procedures and schedules to ensure minimal interruption to customers? business operations and to prioritize projects appropriately
Promote positive public/employee relations at all times
Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
Required Qualifications:
The successful candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
High school diploma or technical certificate as well as a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience with commercial/industrial HVAC equipment
Must be driven to succeed and able to work with minimum supervision
Self-motivated to complete assigned tasks within allotted timeframes
Must maintain current EPA 608 Universal technician certification and possess a basic mechanical aptitude
Must be able to read, understand and interpret schematics, plans, diagrams and drawings
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Must have experience working on packaged air systems, VAV split systems
Must be computer literate and experienced in networking for connectivity
