The Analog Division designs and produces high performance ICs for automotive applications and for consumer power management. Our ICs are in electric vehicles, airbag systems, antilock braking systems and engine and powertrain control. Our SMARTMOS technologies allow us to integrate intelligent actuator drivers, communication links, diagnostics and fault detection, and sophisticated power management and protection supporting our microcontrollers. We are looking for someone to be responsible for characterization of advanced mixed-signal ICs designed for the automotive and power management applications. The characterization will be performed in lab bench using all various lab equipments and software ? Semiconductor parameter analyzer, Oscilloscope, Gain-Phase analyzer, Spectrum analyzer, lab view, and others. The products developed in the business units include inductive load drivers, regulators, thermal and current limit protection circuits, CAN, LIN, DSI, low side and high side power switches, serial-parallel interface (SPI), over and under voltage protection circuits, high voltage analog circuits.
The primary job responsibilities are to:
Support characterization of integrated circuits ? performing bench measurements, micro probing, thermal evaluation, data analysis, and presenting results.
Support evaluation board designs.
Perform yield enhancement by identifying fail modes, quantity of material affected, fallout rate, etc.
Perform data collection and characterization to determine the failure mechanism.
Work with design, failure analysis, and process or test engineering to identify and implement corrective actions.
Generate technical documentation such as design traceability matrix, errata sheet, statistical analysis report, evaluation summary report, lessons and learned.
Perform manual bench ESD and latch up test and identify the root cause of failures. Propose solutions working with designers.
Verify that production test measurements correlate with lab measurements.
BSEE (MSEE is plus) with at least a 3.25 gpa
Familiar with semiconductor device physics
Analog circuit knowledge (band-gap, amplifier, drivers, LDO, Buck/Boost regulators)
Experience using bench test equipment such as digital sampling oscilloscopes, semiconductor parameter analyzer, gain-phase analyzer, logic analyzer.
ESD knowledge (AEC-Q100, JEDEC)
EMC knowledge (susceptibility, emission)
Familiar with Microsoft tools and Labview
Good written and oral communication skills, organized, planning skill.
