Job Description
Precyse is a leading, national provider of Health Information Management services and technologies. Health networks, hospitals and physician groups utilize our services to solve a wide range of HIM issues related to physician satisfaction, quality of care, revenue cycle management, and compliance and EHR enablement. At this very exciting time in our history, with unprecedented market drivers sparking change throughout the healthcare industry, we are seeking an experienced ICD-10 Education Consultant to join our team of professionals.
Summary
Provide on-site ICD-10 education for hospital clients located nationally
Present to a wide array of populations including support, clinical, coding and senior leadership staff
Educate these populations in a large number of ICD-10 related topics including introductions and awareness to the ICD-10-CM/PCS systems, documentation requirements and improvement, coding and billing, and other ICD-10 related topics
Research, design, enhance, and develop education content when on-site education is not scheduled
Work with the Director of ICD-10 Services and other ICD-10 Education Consultants to look for process improvements, streamline programs, maximize efficiency, and ensure all deliverables are met
Travel department to schedule and pay for all flights, hotel and car rentals. Take the hassle out of travel!
Requirements
Very strong skill set in classroom and webinar education with superior presentation skills
The ability to conduct compelling presentations for coders, physicians, nurses, and other clinical populations in a style that will lead to successful adoption and knowledge transfer
Dynamic speaker with proven track record of delivery of educational content to small and large groups either in person or via Webinars.
Confidence in dealing with multiple populations and handling a wide variety of questions, as a subject matter expert in ICD-10, coding and billing, and revenue cycle of hospitals and other levels of care.
AHIMA certification of ICD-10 and an understanding of transitional methodologies is a requirement
Extensive experience in clinical, coding and healthcare related research in relation to education and arbitration of advanced clinical subject matter
Management of staff or projects a plus.
Willingness to work as a team in the area of thought leadership, curricula design, media applications.
Willing to travel upwards of 75% to deliver this education nationwide
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Sciences or related field/equivalent experience
8+ years of Coding, HIM Management, and/or Clinical experience in a practicing role
4+ years of classroom training and education development experience
