Position Objective
Drive market transformation and enable acceleration of ILG sales cycles by delivering compelling thought leader content for:
Prospecting ? Demand Generation
Strategic Sales Tools
Customer and Prospect Events
Development and delivery of CGOC thought leadership agenda
Essential Job Deliverables
Translate ILG Vision into Thought Leadership Agenda ? sets CGOC agenda and leads execution of agenda throughout year, including:
Themes and agendas for the year
Programs, events and efforts that drive the agenda
Speaker bureau development and cultivation
Article agenda
Lead CGOC execution efforts with content for programs, working groups, agendas, brochures
Sponsor and enable work groups
Prospecting Thought Leader Content ? drives account interest in pursuing an ILG strategy
Create and publish articles with industry thought leaders that can be leveraged in sales cycles and create awareness to feed the pipeline
Source publications from CGOC working groups, Customers, IBM Experts
Ensure visibility to prospects on CGOC.com, IBM.com and sellers on ILG Central, work with PR agency to publish
Strategic Sales Tools ? for account execs to leverage ILG thought leadership in pipeline accounts
Create Sales Tools across IT, Legal and RM for both opening new opportunities and executing ILG programs ? e.g. Leader Guides and Implementation Guides for each of IT, Legal and RM ILG transformation leaders
Source sales tool content from thought leaders running sales cycles
Ensure visible to sellers on ILG Central ? and frequent webinars with the field
Customer and Prospect Event Content ? e.g., CGOC events, IBM and Industry Trade Shows
Create and syndicate agendas, brochures, presentations, materials
Source event content from CGOC working groups, Customers and IBM Experts
Ensure visible to event marketing teams, field, to leverage to drive attendance
This Position Requires
Relationships with Expert Sources
CGOC Working Groups ? set their agendas, drive the content, participate in quarterly deliverables ? time with them before, during, after events
IBM Experts ? Time spent in the field in sales cycles and with executives understanding the sales cycle, enterprise and departmental ILG program fundamentals
Customers ? Time at customers across IT, Legal, Records and Privacy understanding their challenges and successes
Partners ? understanding launch and implementation success factors
Analysis Skills
Analysis of customer pain, and IBMs Solution including people, process and technology
Ability to take complex content and create compelling frameworks
Presentation Skills
Create and deliver presentations to small and large audiences, ability to compel prospects, customers, sellers, partners to action
Team Skills
Work closely with demand generation, enablement, and event teams
Requirements
Excellent written and oral communications skills ? a real imperative
BA/BS required and Masters or JD preferred
Experience writing thought leader materials, organizing and leading forums for expert communities
Ability to manage people effectively and lead them to common vision and big achievements
7 years experience in similar or related positions in product marketing, sales or solutions consulting
Interview Criteria
Must provide samples of authored materials (strategy papers, white papers, media interviews, etc)
