About the role:
As an image procssing engineer, you will join the team developing advanced algorithms and software that will generate petabytes of of imagery. You will help us develop world-class pan-sharpening, automatic color and contrast enahcement and white balance, color artifact reduction, and atmospheric correction. You will also help transition these algorithms into production-grade software in C/C++ in a Linux environment to run within Skybox's high-performance computing infrastructure.
You have background in image processing, but you don't need experience with satellite imagery or remote sensing. You're a strong C/C++ programmer, and have experience in the full algorithm life cycle from research to depolyment and support. You enjoy working in a small company environment where things happen quickly and everybody gets their time in the critical path.
Skills and Experience:
M.S. or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Excellent C/C++ development skills, ideally in a Linux environment.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in image processing with a focus on color imaging
Understanding of computer vision techniques is a plus
Experience with multithreaded programming environments or GPUs is a plus.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Matlab, Python, etc. is desired.
Must be US citizen or permanent resident.
