Image Processing Software Development Lead Skybox Imaging

Skybox is seeking an experienced manager to lead a development team building custom image processing software to produce vast quantities of remotely sensed imagery. You will use your experience in both overseeing and contributing (writing code) to the development of image processing algorithms and the transition from prototype to production-grade software applications. The ideal candidate will have a record of managing small team shipping production software. The candidate should be well-versed in standard software development practices and have excellent management and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have also have a technical background and experience in developing image processing software or similarly complex algorithmic software.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, motivate, and manage a team of highly-skilled algorithm scientists and software developers
Coordinate development process of the team with other software development teams across the organization
Provide regular updates on development progress to the executive team
Refine our formal software development practices
Write code
Qualification:
Minimum of 4 years experience leading a software development team with demonstrated success shipping software
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Proficient in C/C++ programming and the software development process
Deep understanding of image processing and computer vision algorithms
Experience developing software in an Agile manner
Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
