Image Processing Software Engineer Skybox Imaging
Skybox Imaging, an early-stage, venture backed startup is seeking an experienced image processing and analysis software engineer to help us develop software to process vast quantities of remotely sensed image data. Ideal candidates will have a background in image and signal processing theory as well as experience developing production-grade software. Familiarity with software development for parallel computing platforms is preferred.Responsibilities:
Prototype advanced image processing algorithms around image reconstruction, registration, rectification, video stabilization, object recognition
Develop production-grade software implementations of image processing algorithms
Optimize implementations to provide high-performance processing when deployed on our image processing clusters
Tune image image processing algorithms to enhance image quality
Document algorithms & software for internal and external customers
Qualification:
Masters degree or greater in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years experience in image processing with a focus on enhancement, denoising, and image reconstruction, image registration, and image mosaicing.
Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on mathematical and statistical modeling
Excellent C/C++ programming skills least C/C++ in a Unix environment
Proficiency in other languages such as Matlab, or Python etc. are desired
Experience developing, deploying, and supporting software products
Experience with video and image compression technologies is a plus
Experience in multithreaded programming environments or GPU is a plus
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
