Implementation Architect Guidewire Software

Job Description: Work on complex projects that can last from three months to two years depending on the specific customer requirements.Utilize multi-threading, caching, networking, and various other technologies to develop and deliver flexible core software systems for the insurance industry. Identify customer business requirements, configure the Guidewire application to meet those requirements, and integrate the Guidewire application to other internal or external systems. Partner with client business teams to understand business objectives and integration requirements. Develop an overall integration architecture for the client using JVM-based language IDE plug-in and within a unit test environment. Produce technical design documents for integration programs. Estimate the effort required to build necessary integration programs. Work with the Guidewire development team to further develop our integration adapters and other integration mechanisms. Develop custom integration programs to connect Guidewire applications with other internal and external systems. Coach and mentor customer team members working on integration programs. Plan integration testing and performance testing of customer solutions. Support execution of integration tests, including monitoring software incidents and communicating software issues to Guidewire development. May be assigned to various projects using skills.
Educational/Experience Requirements:Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and three years experience in the job offered or related occupation including Software Engineer, Programmer/Analyst, Team Lead or related occupation. Employer will also accept a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field followed by five years progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation including Software Engineer, Programmer/Analyst, Team Lead or related occupation. Must be able to travel to various unanticipated locations throughout the United States. Telecommuting is acceptable. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
Additional Requirements:Experience/Education must include:
- Professional consulting experience or equivalent business experience in a technical role
- Java
- Multi-tier web applications
- Full-lifecycle software implementation projects
- Developing technical specifications and implementing those specifications through a combination of custom programming and product configuration
- Design, program, test, and deploy complicated integration software
- Messaging and database connectivity, including JMS and JDBC experience
- Understanding of technical design approaches
