The Role:
Sailthru's Implementation Engineer works directly with customers to ensure Sailthru's product suite is efficiently and effectively integrated with clients' systems. The Implementation Engineer is a key liaison between the company?s growing sales, client services and engineering teams. Sailthru's Implementation Engineer is responsible for communicating with Sailthru clients to understand their business and technical needs, making recommendations and then implementing processes and technology to ensure a smooth onboarding from start to finish. In addition, Sailthru's Implementation Engineer will:
Work closely with clients and Sailthru's Senior Project Manager to develop and manage to an implementation plan, define client requirements and configure and tune to client businesses and technical needs.
Play a key, hands-on role in configuring and fine-tune the technical components of the plan.
Document client requirements, workflows and successfully transition the client to Account Management and Client Support.
About You:
This role is for you if you're a self-starter motivated to learn new technology, enjoy interfacing directly with clients and have experience implementing B2B SaaS solutions. You are also able to fully comprehend Sailthru's product suite, excelling in the ability to recall documentation and problem solve under pressure. As an arm of the client services team, this person may need to accommodate customer requests outside of business hours as concerns surface. You are a natural teacher/instructor and a persuader, with the ability to guide clients through best practices with nurturing confidence. You also have extremely strong client-facing skills, communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) and will also have some combination of qualifications including:
5+ years of experience implementing technology with external customers at either at a consulting firm or with a B2B SaaS technology company.
Comfort and natural talent speaking in front of small and large groups.
Ability to thrive working in a variety of operating systems, browsers.
Sophisticated understanding of DNS with the ability to articulate zone file changes to those with/without proficiency.
Sensitivity and flexibility in adapting communication and work styles to varying client backgrounds (i.e. corporate hierarchies to start-up environments).
Working experience in web service APIs (especially REST-based), JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS or similar web programming languages.
Skills and patience in presenting above technical concepts to individuals without strong technical backgrounds
Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering and/or a related field.
