Someone who has successfully implemented multi-million dollar media, marketing and business development deals for a start up or highly entrepreneurial company. Our ideal candidate would be happy to come in at the end of a negotiation or the beginning of a project and take the deal live assertively & determinedly, working within extremely tight timelines and managing multiple projects.
You are not just responsible for getting a deal live, you OWN the deal. You make sure your partners are happy, getting paid in a timely fashion and their deals are optimized via analytics and reporting. (Plus, because we are in growth mode, and still feel like a start up, assume you will also play the role of a marketing director, brand manager, reporting analyst, account strategist, and anything else we need you to do to get the job done!)
This position will work closely with external parties, ranging from small media deals to large non-profits to large digital companies. Your success will depend on both your relationship with the partner as well as building and maintaining seamless relationships with internal, cross functional teams needed to launch deals: Brand Marketing, Lead Generation, Business Development and executive level stakeholders.
Our ideal candidate will ensure business scope, project plans, objectives and requirements are well-defined and work with supporting teams to develop and maintain project plans and monitor overall progress of initiatives. This person will also be responsible for preparing on-going communications for the program, including weekly status reports, daily lead reports, billing, reconciliation as well as managing risk and open item logs and preparing program/project materials and presentations for key stakeholders.
Launch Deals; quickly. Take from contract to execution in tight timeframes.
Be creative. Yes, we are not interested in project managers who don?t aid in building out new marketing ideas and media plans for each partner. We are interested in people who like to ideate and throw their ideas out there. We love to test.
More importantly ? we love to MEASURE what we test. Must have high level understanding of numbers and key KPI's that are driving the business. You will own all daily reporting for internal and external partners per deal.
Lead and facilitate discussions with key stakeholders, within and outside of the organization as needed, to assist in the development of new business opportunities.
Prepare and maintain program and project documentation.
Facilitate the definition of scope, deliverables and objectives for new initiatives. Working with key stakeholders, structure and organize the project work teams, establish target milestones and timelines, engage appropriate resources, and ensure requirements are well defined and all deliverables and dates are agreed upon.
Work with Legal and Vendor Management Offices to develop agreements and supporting due diligence documents and ensure vendors are compliant with agreements and internal policies.
Billing and Accruals ? we need to make sure our partners get paid. You will own this process.
Things That Should Be in Your Background:
Proven experience that you?ve kicked ass in a previous role
At least 2 years of hands-on deal implementation or project management for a business development, marketing or agency unit.
Proven ability to work in a start up environment
At least 2 years working in business development or agency account management / strategy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to summarize and present information at the appropriate level of detail for the intended audience across various levels in the organization.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and facilitation/process mapping skills required.
Strong project management discipline, including development of project plans, assessment and mitigation of risk, effectively meeting management and tracking actions and issues. PMP certification preferred.
Strong competency using MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, MS Project and Visio software
