Implementation Manager - Professional Services Switchfly
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Switchfly Implementation Manager will be responsible for supporting the Professional Services, Product and Engineering teams assigned to a project throughout all phases of the implementation process.
The Implementation Manager has a wide ranging set of responsibilities from system configuration, requirement gathering and specification writing to managing complex internal and external testing processes.
This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage numerous responsibilities simultaneously and willingness to learn the online travel industry. To succeed in this role: you must have strong communication skills; be able to execute; and willing to work collaboratively with both internal and external project teams. The ability and willingness to understand the more technical aspects of the position are crucial.
This role may be based in our San Francisco HQ or work remotely.
Perform as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a broad range of topics and areas such as;
Project scoping, planning, system configuration, custom development, internal and external testing to all pre site launch activities
Participate and, where appropriate, lead project meetings, conference calls and standups.
Both internal as well as external facing engagements
Configure and manage client production and test environments including;
External supplier connector management and troubleshooting w/ 3rd party vendors
System configuration management and client specific translation definition
Creation and management of cobrands and contract groups supporting client business and channelization needs.
Develop and deliver project and client facing training material and documentation
Train clients on application features and modules they?ll be utilizing
Document system configurations, contract setup, markup definitions and translations
Manage client UAT for both custom development and pre-launch processes
Assist in establishing testing strategy, processes, procedures and timelines
Evaluate incoming client defects, for internal tracking and reporting to resolution
Resolve support related issues quickly and accurately
Create and provide UAT related documentation where applicable
Write functional design specifications of application areas not managed by product team
Manage custom development in both Agile-based and Waterfall methodologies
Create user guide documentation and release notes for all new functionality
Provide support and backup to Project Manager as needed
Must be self-motivated, team-oriented, very responsible and passionate about exceeding expectations
Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as client relationship management experience
Previous experience in online leisure travel, dynamic packaging ,GDS systems and XML based APIs
Experience writing requirements documents and functional design documents
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Project, Visio, etc.
Ability to excel in a fast paced, highly fluid environment with limited direction
Travel up to 25%
Knowledge of Rally agile project management application and or HP Quality Center a plus.
