The Implementation Project Manager leads complex post-sale client engagements that deliver telematics solutions for insurance companies and other clients. This includes responsibility for all implementation tasks including initial scoping, requirements definition, solution design, implementation planning, delivery and integration into client and DriveFactor operational support structures. This role has overall accountability for the success of assigned client telematics program implementations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Establish scope of the solution necessary to implement a successful telematics program for clients, including high-level operational processes, process ownership and interfaces between involved organizations.
Determine data needs and data flows among the client and other required functions, such as manufacturing and fulfillment. Develop specifications for required reports to include distribution mechanisms, recipients and frequency.
Develop and manage the implementation plans and necessary project deliverables, including requirements documents, schedules, solution specifications and progress reports.
Lead efforts with DriveFactor associates to develop the program design. Work closely with stakeholders to translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications and detailed process flows. Establish process owners, identify knowledge gaps and ensure necessary training is provided.
Maintain effective working relationships with peers and vendors to integrate the program into the overall strategic objectives and activities of the organization. Ensure the solution satisfies client business and technical constraints and meets DriveFactor profitability targets.
On-going reports to DriveFactor leadership, including regular status updates on scope, schedule and cost performance. Record issues and track them to resolution. Chair project milestone reviews and obtain required approvals to proceed.
Ensure all tasks and responsibilities are well understood by all involved parties to ensure a smooth turnover to daily operations.
Use knowledge gained in implementation projects to enhance future client engagements. Work closely with the DriveFactor business development team to enhance product offerings and the client account management model.
5 years hands-on experience in project management, including successful completion of large-scale, multi-business unit, cross-functional, multi-national projects
A consistent track record of project delivery within scope, budget and schedule goals
Broad experience with development and implementation of process and technology solutions that meet business needs
Expert in effective application of project practices and tools including scheduling, risk management, issue tracking, cost/benefit analysis, scope management and quality assurance
Strong attention to detail and proven analytical capabilities
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to guide and lead others in a matrix structure
Excellent organization skills
Travel estimated at (25%-30%) in US and abroad.
Education and/or Experience
4-7 years in project management
Lean Process or Quality Certified
BA (Master?s Degree preferred) in business or technical discipline
Knowledge of, and interest in, the insurance market (preferably personal lines auto), trends and business needs
