Overview:
Serve as the business / functional advisor to the client, supporting the team to translate business requirements into solution specifications and drive the overall delivery of the solution.
Drive creation of the functional solution specifications, and work with the project team to configure the solution based upon business requirements.
Facilitate solution unit, integration and user acceptance testing and solution deployment.
Manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
Ensure an effective implementation and rollout that maximizes value from the solution.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the client delivery organization
Principal Responsibilities:
Understand client organization's direction, structure, and requirements.
Prepare requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations.
Support relationships with clients to sustain a strong business relationship leading to high client satisfaction, retention of existing business and development of new business.
Analyze client organization's industry and business drivers.
Facilitate solution and process workshops to identify client business objectives, define project goals and provide a plan for maximizing the value of the solution.
Lead client and SciQuest project team members to define and document client business requirements, assess the need for, and recommend process enhancements, and document software and integrations specifications for configuring the solution.
Understand technical design specifications.
Facilitate the solution configuration, deployment and software issue resolution to ensure a timely solution acceptance.
Define test conditions.
Develop accurate and complete test plans.
Conduct testing according to plan.
Proactively identify and mitigate or resolve project risks and issues. This includes identifying alternative solutions either through changes to client workflows or software, making recommendations of alternatives, and facilitating decision-making on the path forward.
Team effectively with other parts of the SciQuest organization to address and resolve client issues.
Manage communication of appropriate project information to clients and within SciQuest.
Provide appropriate work direction and mentoring to other team members, assisting and counseling as required. Influence others, through motivation and encouragement, to accomplish team goals.
Ensure a successful client transition from Implementation to Support.
Develop and maintain proficiency in the company's software solutions, solution methodologies, and core technologies. Responsibility for the successful functional and technical implementation of configurable applications for client engagements (on time and on budget). May have overall responsibility or may take work direction from a Senior Solution Integration Consultant/Application Specialist.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
5+ years of business experience with 3+ years of demonstrated experience in application implementations / providing consulting services in a client environment.
2-5 years Contract Management, Accounting, Finance, eProcurement or Supply Chain software application experience is preferred.
Proficient in the use of Visio, Excel and Word as well as other typical business productivity tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, executive level presence and experience in facilitation.
Work extensively over the phone and in-person with our clients and suppliers. Strong communication skills are a must.
Experience in supporting hosted software that integrates with client's existing systems.
Strong working knowledge of SQL is preferred
Working knowledge of Java, HTTPS communications, and XML.Strong project management, interpersonal, negotiation, communication, presentation, documentation and problem solving skills.
Must be able to learn quickly, make strong individual contributions and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a team environment.
Ability to act independently, take initiative and drive tasks and issues to resolution
Business Process Implementation experience in Contract Management, Accounting, Finance, eProcurement or Supply Chain is preferred.
Business automation and workflow process development desirable
Knowledge/experience with Agile methodology is preferred.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, presentation, documentation and problem solving skills.
Must be able to learn quickly, make strong individual contributions and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a team environment
Ability to act independently, take initiative and drive tasks and issues to resolution.
