Position Summary
The Billtrust Implementation Specialist is responsible for configuring our proprietary CompleteBilling System based on analysis documents and client requirements as communicate by our project team. Configuring involves mapping data elements from billing files (csv, XML, EDI and spool files) into system properties as well as writing scripts using Python to manage data. Additional GUI tools are used to customize code, fix a system defect and update the system per change orders. Configuration Specialists are responsible for testing the code and debugging issues/defect prior to the code being moved to QA and ultimately production.
Primary Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
"Reviews data mapping requirements documents and create data parsers that extract key data elements from raw billing files. Once extracted, write basic Python scripts to manipulate, format or perform basic calculations on the stored data to meet business requirements. Completes high level testing to ensure no major defects are in the code.
"Executes bench-testing plan, identifying/creating billing data and reviewing output for expected results and confirming the configuration performed accurately and reflects requirements.
"Documents defects when actual results do not meet expected results.
"Analyzes issues/defects and debugs the system when configuration is not producing expected results. Researches issues to determine if source of error is with the test data, test plan, or configuration. Resolves issues with test cases or set-up and re-tests configuration. Escalates issues as appropriate.

The following qualifications are required for this position:
"Bachelor's degree in computer science, math or equivalent work experience in an analytical area
"Interpret and understand conditional statements and apply basic relational database concepts
"Knowledge of and ability to write basic SQL queries.
"Experience with Python or other scripting language
"Troubleshoot basic system defects and errors.
"Ability to interpret and understand typical client requirement documentation.
"Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
