Job Description:
WO Program Management is an all-in-one software solution that manages broadcast rights, financials, program inventories and schedules. WideOrbit is looking for a talented and self-motivated individual to join the WO Program Management product team as an Implementation Specialist. The broadcasting world moves quickly and when a station wants to implement our products, it needs someone that can help the station get organized, install the new system, and train the staff on how to use it leaving the station in better shape than when they arrived. They work with other members of the team to develop a thorough understanding of the clients specific business objectives. The Implementation Specialists then creates and executes a project plan that achieves these objectives. WideOrbit's success is highly dependent on the Implementation Specialist's success at the client site.
Responsibilities:
? Effectively communicate and educate customers on various configurations and/or customization options.
? Travel to our clients' sites nationally and oversee all aspects of the implementation process including installation and training new users.
? Conduct web based training sessions.
? Troubleshoot configuration issues and recommend action plans for resolution.
? Be able to effectively communicate to a technical or non-technical audience.
? Work with all stakeholders including customers, industry groups, and internal departments such as development, product management, and release management.
? Identify and document software defects and requests for enhancements.
? Work with a team to develop product support infrastructure.
? Assist as needed with special projects.
Skills/Qualifications:
? Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Communications, or Public Relations highly preferred.
? 3+ years of experience working within a programming department in a broadcasting company IS A MUST.
? Ability to travel up to 70% travel will be required.
? Working knowledge of broadcasting station workflows and equipment IS A MUST.
? Strong familiarity with network and syndicated programming.
? Understanding of broadcast amortization methods.
? Ability to read and understand programming contracts, including barter valuations; broadcast windows; primary, secondary and optional runs; and payments.
? Strong computer skills primarily with Windows Operating Systems, networking and hardware.
? Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
? Ability to work with minimal supervision.
? The ability to work effectively under pressure in a team environment.
? Able to balance competing tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
? Broadband access from home (WideOrbit reimbursed).
