The Solutions Consultant is a key part of the sales team who works cooperatively with Account Executives to help clients understand the technical aspects and business value of TIBCO CIM, TIBCO's multi-domain MDM application. The solutions consultant also configures the application for customer demonstrations and proofs of concept.
a) Understand customer needs and identify areas in which TIBCO CIM will add value for the customer.
b) Customize demonstrations on a customer-by-customer basis to enable the customer to view the application in the light of their own business problem:
Custom data model and data
Custom workflows
Custom validation and transformation rules in XML
Custom screens using UI technologies like AJAX
Custom reports
c) Address technical issues with xml configuration files for workflow and validations, analysis of log-files, debugging java code
d) Generate UI mockups, to enable the customer to view “potential solutions†to their issues.
e) Independently deploy the application on demonstration servers
f) Understand data model and use it to deliver innovative reports through reporting tools
g) Develop integration demonstrations and proof of concepts with back-end systems
h) Work closely with Product Management to feed requirements into the engineering function for re-fitting features developed for customers into the core product

Strong understanding of Databases (Oracle, DB2).

Strong understanding of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) design
Familiarity with the workings of a rules-engine
Expertise with UNIX and Windows based server administration.
Unix editing tools (VI, Emacs etc.)
