Position Summary ? Analyst Relations Specialist
The Industry Analyst Relations (IAR) Specialist develops and maintains relationships with targeted industry analysts globally in ways that align with and supports TOA Technologies? business objectives. With direction from the Manager, Public Relations, the IAR Specialist is responsible for a variety of tasks related to:
Researching and determining the analysts with influence in TOA?s technology space and the vertical markets it serves.
Building a mix of communications tactics with a strategic cadence to maximize these relationships.
Strengthening these relationships to influence analyst opinions regarding TOA and its product offerings to drive positive coverage in research publications and notes, and to keep TOA top of mind when analysts make recommendations to relevant prospects.
Determine targeted industry analysts in field service management and in specific vertical markets
Segment and create objectives for each targeted analyst and firm
Facilitate inbound analyst requests, including market evaluations (Magic Quadrant and other market landscapes)
Strategize and execute outbound analyst communications and tactics, such as inquiries, analyst days and analyst newsletter, to shape analyst opinions about TOA?s corporate performance, product evolution and successful use of its product among customers
Leverage access to analyst insight for internal communications with management team and other relevant stakeholders to keep the business apprised of market opportunities, trends and challenges
Help to manage the analyst relations budget
Oversee day-to-day account management responsibilities with analyst firms under contract
A Bachelor?s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism or relevant discipline
Previous industry analyst relations experience is highly preferred
Four to seven years of corporate communications, public relations, media relations or other relevant experience
Previous experience in high technology is preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Appreciative of confidentiality and discretion
Ability to quickly understand and effectively position technical topics
Ability to grasp and communicate concepts such as competitive positioning, pricing models, market sizing and corporate financial performance
Capacity to be conversant about multiple markets and industries, and with respect to global nuances
This position requires approximately 10 percent travel, which may include, but is not limited to, trade shows, analyst conferences and briefing tours
