Summary
An Industry Development Manager (Oil & Gas) is a professional representative of IFS. He/she is expected to represent IFS in an ethical and credible way so that prospects gain confidence in IFS and the IFS offering, and therefore elects to choose IFS as their Business Solution Supplier. He/she is also expected to be knowledgeable in IFS Applications and in the use of IFS Applications at targeted prospects and customers. The focus of this role is to identify and create new opportunities, which will convert into license revenue.
Responsibilities
Understand IFS positioning for energy target markets, especially the Oil & Gas market in Houston
Understand the functional strengths of IFS, and how they will help improve a customer?s operations
Drive Thought Leadership discussions with C-level office
Ability to distinguish which companies are a good fit to be IFS prospective customers
Identify a ?top 75? list of target companies and drive a sales and marketing plan to pursue
Manage and execute sales campaigns (mail outs, targeted executive calling, etc.)
Help recommend and outline marketing campaigns for target companies.
Take responsibility for a specific category of leads from business development group
Nurture early stage projects until opportunity is fully developed (becomes a 10%)
Participate in other sales/marketing activities (i.e. trade shows)
Work closely with the O&G customers in North America (in conjunction with marketing and established accounts)
Understand existing customers and references
Assess the degree of fit, especially in terms of implementation requirements,and relate key business issues to IFS functionality
Assist in setting good customer expectations
Participate in prospect and customer seminars
Traveling up to 25%
Partner related activities:
Participate in establishing and developing partnerships, both in the area of implementation as well as 3rd party value added product partners
Identify industry specific influencers
Manage influencer campaigns
Build influencer network
Qualifications - Required
BA/BS is preferred
At least 10 years of work in and/or around Oil & Gas industry with significant exposure to software procurement process decision makers
