Industry Strategy Director, Value Engineering
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are critical roles and responsibilities of this position: â€¢
Work with the sales team and prospects/customers to understand, quantify and develop the business case to justify their investment in Infor enterprise applications (ERP, HCM, SCM, EAM, CAD, etc).
This will consist of a financial case analysis developed using financial analysis tools and a presentation to deliver the findings to the prospect.
â€¢ Articulate the â€œbig pictureâ€ to our customers and prospects â€" how a solution comprised on Infor products will meet their business needs and deliver the value uncovered in building the business case.
â€¢ Use a deep understanding of our selected vertical industries to, (a) tell prospects how our solutions will address their specific needs and (b) develop (if required) and deliver customer success stories to help prospects understand how other companies in their industry are using our solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidates will have the following educational and career background accomplishments:
â€¢ Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics, engineering or other business related field of study, MBA, MPA, and/or doctorate preferred but not required.
â€¢ Five or more years in industry in a management or decision making role as an executive or working with executives.
â€¢ Demonstrated vertical industry knowledge in one of the following public services and healthcare verticals: Healthcare providers, public safety, health and human services, state and local government, K-12 education, higher education, public utilities, federal civilian and defense agencies.
â€¢ Background in value engineering, pre-sales consulting and/or implementing or using ERP and other associated enterprise-wide business solutions.
â€¢ Demonstrated understanding of financial analysis concepts used for project evaluation in a business environment: Return on Investment; Internal Rate of Return, Total Cost of Ownership, Business Benefit Analysis, Weighted Average Cost of Capital, etc. Familiarity with industry benchmark standards and how to access these standards for public sector verticals.
PREFERRED SKILLS Ideal candidates must be accomplished and skilled in the following:
â€¢ Ability to prepare and deliver compelling presentations to audiences of all sizes and organizational levels using multiple tools: PowerPoint, flip charts, animated presentation tools and software.
â€¢ Ability to do a high level product overview demonstration as required.
â€¢ Ability to do research on a company, collect financial information and prepare a benefit or ROI analysis for delivery to executives as part of a sales cycle.
â€¢ Ability to understand and articulate the business value of the following types of solutions to a prospect or customer: Enterprise Resource Planning, Enterprise Asset Management, Performance Management/Business Intelligence, HCM, Product Lifecycle Management, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Planning and Customer/Supplier facing portal solutions.
â€¢ Sufficient knowledge of one or more vertical industries listed above to discuss the business needs of that industry with a prospect and tell pertinent success stories to convince prospects that Infor understands their industry.
