Job Summary
The Informatics Analyst will be part of the MedVentive Informatics department and report to the Senior Manager. The primary focus will be supporting MedVentive clients through various ad hoc and routine reporting needs. This role will be involved in creating client support tools and reports, to include but not limited to using existing data and reports and creating new venues for this information. Reporting can be based off of health care data including but not limited to medical claims, pharmacy claims, lab data, practice management (billing data) and include code sets such as NDC, LOINC, CPT, HCPCS, Revenue, ICD9 and various DRG groupers. Reports can be simple in nature, or be complex and recurring involving several different sources of data and consultative insights to their analysis.
This position will support the account management and consulting teams with their routine and ad hoc reporting and analysis for their customers. In addition this position will work closely with account management in developing and maintaining a health and wellness program for each client.
The reporting can be in support of both internal and external customers and will also involve client facing consultation and presentations. Another focus of this position is to support MedVentive?s help desk understanding issues with the system, specifically data integrity and issue resolution. As a part of client services this position may be called on for various other activities in support of our clients and their needs.
Requirements
Extensive knowledge of health care data and process (health plan and provider operations
Sophisticated analytical skills including excel, SQL, Access and data base management
Ability to develop specs including object models, written descriptions of functionality, and mock-up of screen design.
Participation in research process whereby new ideas are generated and projects are executed that point to the direction for the future of the application; projects may include development of prototypes and structures that demonstrate advanced use of existing systems.
Stay abreast of latest development in Medical Informatics and industry reporting, and communicate key innovations to the appropriate individuals or groups.
Provide support to all areas of Client Services for complex client problems and needs.
Some limited travel may be required
Experience and Skills
Five to eight years experience in the medical health data field
Minimum of five years hands-on experience with data collection, analysis and presentation
Knowledge of ETG?s and DxCG?s. Predictive Modeling a plus
Able to write and speak clearly, and to report out empirical data in an accurate and organized manner.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work within deadlines and with a team
