Job Description
Compusearch Software Systems, Inc., a software product and services company in Dulles, VA., seeks an Information Assurance Professional to join the Compusearch security team reporting to the Director of Security. For over 25 years, Compusearch has been providing Acquisition and Grant Management software products to Civilian, DoD, and Intel agencies in the Federal Government, and to the Federal contractor community. In addition, Compusearch also has a growing cloud hosting business for its software products.
The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of
industry best practices in information assurance and some experience in the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), and/or NIST Security Guidance. Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance directives is a plus.
The successful candidate must have a strong analytical ability and be able to synthesize and apply security standards within a risk management framework. Candidate will provide security related recommendations to various groups within the company.
Responsibilities include: support of continuous security monitoring and security compliance of the Compusearch cloud; working directly with clients on security related matters when needed; preparing security documentation; or facilitating mitigation, remediation, or risk acceptance of identified security issues.
Work may also include support for internal Compusearch security initiatives such as security awareness training, security policy and procedure documentation, business continuity planning, application security initiatives, and corporate risk management.
Experience, Skills/Abilities, and Education:
Minimum 4+ years full time information assurance experience
Minimum 2+ years? experience supporting a Federal Government information assurance (or security) program
Familiarity with one or more technical security areas (e.g., network security, Oracle DBMS security, secure OS configuration, secure application development)
Familiarity using database, and network scanning tools and results analysis
Ability to prepare organized and easily understandable documentation
BA or BS Degree in related field.
Preferred but not required:
CISSP, GIAC, CSSLP or similar certification
Physical Requirements: Qualified candidates will need to be able to travel to and work in multiple locations
Clearance:
The applicant must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
