The Information Developer reports to the Director, Technology Shared Services. This position requires an experienced documentation professional with exemplary educational documentation experience and extensive experience in knowledge management. This knowledge professional will have complete responsibility for the full life cycle of technical systems documentation including implementation guide development on the front end and training design and development on the back end. This individual must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership. Superior design, PowerPoint presentations, and other training artifacts to support all training initiatives is required. The Information Developer must have a firm understanding of Adult Learning Principles, instructional design principles, and learning sequencing. This knowledge professional must have extensive experience managing knowledge and using various tools to support knowledge management. Responsibility for maintaining SME-level knowledge on all the features and functionality of at least 5 system applications and ongoing education on these products as new enhancements and upgrades are released is a significant expectation for this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for documentation design, development, and on-time delivery for various system applications using the standard documentation methodology.
Seamlessly edit and manage all documentation, including version control, within our standard document repository.
Use a balanced and open communication style with team members, manager, internal customers and leaders from the initial development of documentation to the final delivery.
Documentation subject matter expertise with writing proficiencies in the design, development and delivery of the following document types: user guides, instructional manuals, process documentation, Computer-based training modules, training manuals, knowledge reference tools (i.e., glossary of terms, newsletters, release notes, etc.), and SOP development and management.
Expertise in instructional design and superior proficiencies in web-based training design.
Ability to coordinate with other members of the Information Development team to complete individual team projects and initiatives.
Attain SME-level knowledge on all the features and functionality for all system solutions and maintain ongoing education on these products as new enhancements and upgrades are released.

Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, English or related field and five to seven years of technical system application documentation experience.
Previous experience must include at least five years of experience with end user documentation, training development for multiple applications, and responsibility for standard operating procedure documentation.
Experience with SOP development a plus.
Advanced-level proficiencies in instructional design with expert level proficiencies in drafting system application content for diverse audiences.
Ability to design documentation that supports the transfer of knowledge.
Strong editing skills and a mastery of the English language.
Professional and amicable demeanor with solid interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Highly-skilled aptitudes for learning new system applications.
Ability to function well in a team environment.
Ability to quickly assimilate information/directions and adapt to new work requirements as well as multi-task with ease.

This is typically a non-travel position; however, occasional, light travel may be needed (less than 1-2% annually).
Midtown, Atlanta, GA corporate office.
Must be able to sit in front of and type into a computer for long periods of time.
