You will gain practical experience by participating in actual software and system development projects.
SpaceX builds rockets and spacecraft from the ground up; including electronics, software, vehicle structures, and engines. In-house development includes nearly all flight critical custom components amounting to approximately 80% of our vehicles by value.
The company's mission is to revolutionize space access by increasing reliability and reducing cost, eventually by a factor of ten. Our current product line includes the Falcon family of launch vehicles and the Dragon spacecraft.
Falcon rockets provide the lowest-cost per-kilogram for space access and can be used for both low and geosynchronous earth orbits. Dragon is designed to be manned-flight rated and can be configured as a transportation capsule or an in-orbit platform called DragonLab.
Our employees thrive in a fast-paced engineering ecosystem focused on innovation with high levels of personal responsibility. At SpaceX we cut through the noise and believe in the essentials of hardcore engineering.
We build it, test it, and fly it.
